Payment gateway · Pakistan

A payment gateway for Pakistan that needs no merchant account and takes no cut.

Most guides to online payment gateways in Pakistan list the same names: card processors that want a registered business, weeks of paperwork, a merchant account and a percentage of every sale. Then they settle your money a week later.

DPay is the other kind. Your customer pays by bank transfer or wallet, straight into your own NayaPay or Meezan account, and DPay confirms it from your bank's own alert in seconds. No card, no merchant account, no percentage, and the money never passes through anyone else.

The difference

Card gateways move your money. DPay only confirms it.

A card gateway sits between the customer and you: it takes the card, collects the money into its own account, holds it, and settles it to you on a schedule minus its fee. Every one of those steps needs paperwork, because the gateway is handling your money and the regulator wants to know who it is.

DPay is designed around the way Pakistan already pays. The customer opens Easypaisa, JazzCash or their bank app and transfers into your account, exactly as they would if you had sent them your account number on WhatsApp. The difference is what happens next: instead of you opening the bank app to look for the credit, DPay reads the alert your bank sends and marks the order paid. The money was never anywhere but your account.

No merchant account

Nothing to apply for and nobody to wait on. A NayaPay or Meezan account you already have is the whole requirement.

No percentage fee

A flat plan price. Free for 20 payments a month; from PKR 1,500 per 30 days after that. Every plan includes every feature.

No settlement delay

The money is in your account the moment the customer sends it. There is no payout schedule because there is no payout.

No screenshots

Verification reads your bank's own alert, never the customer's picture of it. A screenshot can be edited; a bank alert cannot.

No card, on either side

Customers pay from the app they already use — 45 banks and wallets are in the checkout. You never see a card number and never store one.

Nothing to freeze

DPay has no wallet, no balance and no ability to move your money, so there is nothing for anyone to hold, delay or lose.

How it works

One link out. One confirmation back.

  1. 1
    Create a payment

From the dashboard, a payment link, an invoice, or one API call. DPay returns a hosted checkout and a reference like DPAY-8F4K29.

  2. 2
The customer pays from their own app

They pick the bank or wallet they are paying from, see your receiving account and the exact amount, and transfer as they normally would.

  3. 3
DPay verifies from your bank's alert

It finds the bank's notification for that credit in your connected inbox and runs six required checks on it. Amount alone never approves a payment.

  4. 4
You are told, and so is your system

The order is marked paid in the dashboard, the customer gets a receipt, and a signed webhook reaches your server if you have one.

Who it is for

Built for the sellers the card gateways were never built for.

Instagram and WhatsApp shops taking an advance before they ship. Small online stores tired of a quarter of their cash-on-delivery parcels coming back. Freelancers and agencies invoicing local clients. Tuition centres, gyms and subscription boxes billing every month without a card on file. Developers who want a payment API for Pakistan that answers in JSON and signs its webhooks.

If your customers are in Pakistan and pay from a phone, DPay fits. If you sell to customers abroad who pay by card, it does not; that is a different product, and we would rather say so.

Everything after the payment

Not only a gateway. The back office around it.

A verified payment is the start of the work, not the end of it, so DPay carries the rest: payment links you can reuse, invoices with a PDF and a Pay button, subscriptions that bill by invoice every month, a customer list built from every verified payment, analytics by day and by bank, and an API with webhooks for the day you outgrow the dashboard. Every plan includes all of it; see pricing.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is a payment gateway in Pakistan, in plain words?+

A payment gateway is the piece between your customer wanting to pay and your system knowing they did. Card gateways take the card details, move the money through their own account and settle it to you later, for a percentage. DPay is a bank-transfer gateway: the customer moves the money themselves, from their own bank or wallet app into your own account, and DPay's job is to confirm it happened, instantly and without a screenshot.

Do I need a merchant account or SBP approval to use DPay?+

No. A card gateway needs a merchant account because it handles the money. DPay never handles money, so there is nothing to approve. You need a NayaPay or Meezan Bank account that receives transfers and the Gmail inbox its alerts arrive in. Setup takes about five minutes.

Which banks and wallets can my customers pay from?+

Any of the 45 Pakistani banks, wallets and microfinance banks listed in the checkout: Easypaisa, JazzCash, SadaPay, NayaPay, HBL, UBL, Meezan, MCB, Allied, Bank Alfalah and the rest. The customer pays from the app they already use; the money lands in your account.

Is there a percentage fee per transaction?+

No. DPay charges a flat plan price in rupees. Free covers 20 payments a month; paid plans start at PKR 1,500 per 30 days. There is no percentage of your sales and no charge per payment, because DPay never touches the money.

How does DPay know the customer actually paid?+

Your bank emails you an alert for every credit. DPay reads that alert, not the customer's screenshot, and runs six checks on it: right receiving account, money in, right bank, the exact amount, inside the payment window, and never claimed before. All six must pass. If anything is unclear the payment waits for your review instead of guessing.

Can I use DPay with Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom site?+

DPay gives you a hosted checkout URL and a REST API with signed webhooks, so any site or server that can redirect a customer and receive a POST can use it. For a shop without a website at all, payment links and invoices work from the dashboard with no code.

Can customers pay with a card?+

No, and that is the point. Only about 8% of Pakistani e-commerce payments go through a card; the other 92% move by wallet and bank account. DPay is built for the 92%. If you need cards as well, run a card gateway alongside it.
